We were contacted by Clean, NS and Downtown Dartmouth Business Commission about interest in creating a permanent piece in the downtown Dartmouth core. The desire was to have a piece that was connected in some way to the weather in the area.

We conceptualized and created the Wave Wall. This piece features addressable LED that is laid into a CNC-machined base and constructed on an elegant frame of wood and metal. We created customized software that constantly scrapes the internet for weather data, and in turn the LEDs are controlled in brightness, colour and animation speed by the changing weather in Dartmouth. It is - in effect - a large and beautiful thermometer.
